Job Outline: Jesuit High School is seeking a candidate for a twelve-month, full time Accounting Manager. This position is a member of the finance department and works closely under the direct supervision of the CFO. The Accounting Manager’s core responsibility is the oversight of the school’s general ledger system and operating/capital budgets. Other responsibilities are listed below.

Start Date: August 2023

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Works with the AR and AP Coordinators in confirming general ledger entries.
  • Responsible for GL entries related to payroll, investments, LLC property activity, accrual, and adjusting journal entries.
  • Oversees Fixed Asset accounting.
  • Confirms checking account entries on a weekly basis.
  • Reconciles all bank accounts.
  • Assists CFO with drafting of monthly financial statements.
  • Reviews department budgets on a monthly basis and communicates notable variances to the appropriate dept. head/ supervisor.
  • Assists with the annual budget process.
  • Prepare monthly sales tax filings.
  • Assists in providing timely reports to auditors during annual audit fieldwork.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance related field
